The re start of car camping
Thursday, 22 September 2022
It's been a long time
Well so much for our big car camping adventure. Hubby hasn't been very well so it's been put on hold until he is feeling well enough to get away on our big adventure. I guess it would have been far too hot though as summer evening temperatures would have made the car unbearable to sleep in. With a bit of luck we might get away for a coupe of overnights now that the nights are cooler. I do hope we are able to fulfil our dream but time will tell.

If only it would cool down.
I'm itching to get away in the car but the nights are far too warm at the moment. If it cools down this weekend we'll pack up the car and head off for a car camping session somewhere. We quite fancy Saltburn and if we get away I will update the blog with some photos.

Making plans.
Between now and the end of March Tony has a lot of holiday to use up so he's booked in loads of odd days here and there. The very next time that the night time temperatures are forecast to be above 6 degrees we are going to pack up the car and head out on an adventure. We are so looking forward to the warmer weather when we can get out and explore our beautiful country. Looking forward to watching all the you tubers in their little vans too. We have so much to learn form them all. We're still considering buying a little van but it's unlikely to be this year as we have a bit of saving up to do .

Not going to happen
Tony and I had hoped to get away for an overnight in the car on the very next decent day but unfortunately I've tested positive for covid.... It turns out that the cold I have is a little bit more than just a cold though I don't feel too ill. Hopefully I'll only have a mild case and it won't affect me too badly. Fingers crossed that it soon goes and we can resume normal life.

We just might
The weather at the moment is unseasonably warm both day and night and if it continues we just might have a night away in the car next week. I'll be scouring the 'park4night' app for somewhere nice to stay and we can do a bit of exploring. I'll take plenty of photo's if we do as I want to log all the places we get to visit this coming year. We love Thai food so we'll be hunting down the best Thai restaurants up and down the country. We hope to get over to Lytham St Anne's again this year and we will definitely revisit the little Thai restaurant that we found there. Likewise Morecombe, its really shabby there but the prom is amazing and the people really friendly.

Three more days
It's hard to believe that it's only three more days until the solstice and the nights will ever so very slowly start drawing out again. Tony and I are really looking forward to exploring our beautiful country as soon as the harsh days of winter are done with. February is sometimes lovely and if it is we will be packing up the car and hitting the road. Roll on Spring is all we have to say.
