To van or not to van.. that is the question

 Having only recently changed our car we are now eyeballing every small van we pass . We look at the length of it in comparison to our little Citroen c4 and often feel that the c4 is actually longer than the vans we have seen. We have no intention of changing the car for the foreseeable future but our next vehicle may well be a van. I have absolutely loved stealth car camping and my friends fall into two categories... There's the 'Are You completely mad' field and then there's the 'Good on you for giving it a try'  field. It's made me realise that I have no desire to own a motor home  because it is such fun stealth camping in the car.  When you bear in mind that Tony and I are sixty somethings and not sprightly young things you can probably understand why some of our friends think we are totally barking mad. We should have discovered stealth camping years ago but will make the most of every opportunity from now on. 

It's still warm enough to car camp

We fancy another car camping session sometime soon so we are watching the weather forecast and it looks like it's going to be warm enough for us. Having said that we are tough northerners and don't feel the cold. It might be a bit cool at this time of year if you prefer warmer weather. We're going to have a look on the Park4night site to see if there is somewhere fairly close to home that tempts us.  Somewhere that we can see the stars tempts us so it will need to be a clear night. That might mean it's likely to be cold but we prefer the cold to the heat. Saltburn might be a good option but we have a couple of places in mind.
